Contributes to calcium sequestration involved in muscular excitation/contraction.
Tissue Specificity: Skeletal muscle, fast twitch muscle (type II) fibers.
Involvement in Disease: Brody myopathy: A disorder of muscle function that is characterized by painless muscle cramping and exercise-induced impairment of muscle relaxation.
