Name
Anti-beta NGF Antibody - BSA and Azide free
Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to beta NGF.
Specificity
This antibody recognises beta-Nerve Growth Factor (beta-NGF), a member of the neurotrophin family of proteins. Beta-NGF plays a crucial role in neuronal cell survival and differentiation. It is also critical for the development and maintenance of the nervous system. Beta-NGF elicits its biological function through the transmembrane recetprs trkA and p75NTR. Upon activation of these receptors by beta-NGF, a multitude of signaling pathways are stimulated including MAPK, PI3K and ERK, that sensitize neurons and stimulate growth of axons and dendrites.

General Notes
Rabbit anti Human beta-NGF antibody, recognizes beta-Nerve Growth Factor (beta-NGF), a member of the neurotrophin family of proteins. Beta-NGF plays a crucial role in neuronal cell survival and differentiation. It is also critical for the development and maintenance of the nervous system (Yue et al. 2013). Beta-NGF elicits its biological function through the transmembrane recetprs trkA and p75NTR. Upon activation of these receptors by beta-NGF, a multitude of signaling pathways are stimulated including MAPK, PI3K and ERK, that sensitize neurons and stimulate growth of axons and dendrites (Huang et al. 2018).
