Rabbit anti C-ABL antibody recognizes tyrosine-protein kinase, also known as ABL1 and JTK7. It was first identified as an oncogene associated with chromosome translocations in human leukemias (Greuber at al. 2013). It regulates cell growth and survival, oxidative stress, DNA-damage responses and cell migration (Hantschel and Superti-Furga 2004). C-ABL plays role in the cellular response to growth factors (Plattner et al. 1999). It phosphorylates EGF R and regulates receptor endocytosis (Tanos and Pendergast 2006). Enhanced C-ABL expression and activation has been detected in solid tumors (Greuber et al. 2013).
