Synthetic DNA aptamer to Chitin [Chi#52] (Biotin).
Specificity
Aptamer also bound to cellulose with 45% efficiency (bound the chitin bead with 73% efficiency). Binding to cellulose was present in each of the selected aptamers and the initial library, suggesting that the primer regions contributed cellulose binding.

Product Notes
Anti-Chitin Aptamer [Chi#52] (Biotin) (A320944) is a replica of the aptamer described in PMID: 10743940.
General Notes
Aptamers have not been validated by Antibodies.com and they need to be tested/evaluated under identical conditions to which they were reported in the literature including, but not limited to, temperature and matrix/buffer conditions. All aptamers are manufactured on request and have a lead time of 20-35 business days.

Article Abstract
We have succeeded in the acquisition of DNA aptamers that recognize chitin using in vitro selection. The obtained DNA aptamers have the stem-loop or bulge loop structures with guanine rich loop clusters and the clockwise B-form stems.
