In the presence of singlet oxygen, Acceptor Beads 545 generate a bright chemiluminescence detectable at 545nm. Unconjugated Acceptor Beads 545 are coated with a special formulation allowing for the easy coupling of a wide range of aminated molecules (e.g. peptides, proteins, etc.) using traditional reductive amination or with click chemistry conjugation approaches.

Multiplexed luminescent proximity assays can be used for normalization of phosphorylated analytes. Total levels of an analyte can be detected by one assay, in this case using Acceptor Beads 545, while the phosphorylated form can be detected by conjugating phospho-specific antibodies to the Acceptor Beds 615.
