Principle of Assay
This kit provides sensitive apoptosis detection suitable for multicolor flow cytometry applications. APC-conjugated Annexin V binds externalized phosphatidylserine on apoptotic cells, while propidium iodide labels cells that have lost membrane integrity. The combination allows accurate separation of live, early apoptotic, late apoptotic, and necrotic cell populations and is well suited for complex fluorescence panel designs.

Annexin V APC detects externalized phosphatidylserine as an early marker of apoptosis, and Propidium Iodide identifies cells with compromised membrane integrity, allowing discrimination of viable, early apoptotic, late apoptotic, and necrotic cell populations.
