In the presence of singlet oxygen, Biotin Acceptor Beads 545 generate a bright chemiluminescence detectable at 545nm. Biotin Acceptor Beads 545 are used to capture streptavidin binding partners (e.g. peptides, proteins, etc.) through high (fM) affinity prevailing between biotin and Streptavidin. Biotin Acceptor Beads 545 are combined with Streptavidin Donor Beads 680.

Multiplexed luminescent proximity assays can be used for normalization of phosphorylated analytes. Total levels of an analyte can be detected by one assay, in this case using Acceptor Beads 545, while the phosphorylated form can be detected by conjugating phospho-specific antibodies to the Acceptor Beds 615.
