Principle of Assay
The Biotinylation Kit an efficient method of generating highly pure biotinylated antibodies. Your chosen antibody is first mixed with the reaction buffer and immobilized to resin within a spin column. The biotinylation reagent is then added and the antibody biotinylation reaction takes place on the resin. After washing, the pure biotinylated antibody is eluted from the resin, with the whole process taking approximately 1 hour. The kit is compatible with antibodies from any host species.

Workflow for antibody biotinylation using the Biotinylation Kit. The antibody is first mixed with Reaction Buffer and added to the resin-containing spin column for preparation. Biotinylation Reagent is then applied to the column to conjugate biotin to the antibody. Following the reaction, excess biotin reagent is removed by washing the column with Wash Buffer. The purified biotinylated antibody is subsequently recovered by elution from the column. The complete workflow requires approximately 1 hour.
