Principle of Assay
This kit provides a convenient tool for detection of free fatty acids (FFA). The principle is that the FFAs combine with copper ions to form a copper salt of fatty acid, which is soluble in chloroform. The content of free fatty acid is then calculated by determining the content of copper ion using a copper reagent method.
