Principle of Assay
The kit provides a simple, convenient and rapid glutamate synthase activity detection method, which is suitable for detection in animal and plant tissue, cell, bacteria, serum, plasma and other samples. The detection principle is that glutamate synthase uses NADH as the electron donor to catalyze the amino transfer from glutamine to alpha-ketoglutaric acid to form two-molecules of glutamate. The rate of decrease in NADH absorbance in 340 nm reflects glutamate synthase activity.
