Principle of Assay
The kit provides a simple, convenient and rapid glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) activity detection method, which is suitable for the detection of animal and plant tissue, cell, bacteria, serum, plasma and other samples. The detection principle is that GDH catalyzes the reaction of NH4+, NADH and alpha-ketoglutaric acid to produce glutamic acid and NAD+, which leads to a decrease in absorbance of 340 nm. By measuring the rate of decrease in absorbance of 340 nm, the activity of GDH is calculated.
