Principle of Assay
This kit provides a convenient tool for detection of mitochondrial Complex II Activity. The principle is the reduced coenzyme Q, which is the catalytic product of the mitochondrial respiratory chain Complex II can further reduce 2,6-dichloroindoxyl, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 605 nm. Complex II activity is calculated from the rate of change in absorbance at 605 nm.
