Principle of Assay
This kit provides a simple, convenient, and rapid method for detecting isocitrate dehydrogenase activity, which is suitable for detection in animal tissues, plant tissues, and cells. The principle is that isocitrate dehydrogenase can catalyze the reduction of NADP+ to produce NADPH. NADPH has an absorption peak at 340 nm, and isocitrate dehydrogenase activity can be calculated from the rate of change in absorption at 340 nm.
