Principle of Assay
This kit provides a convenient tool for detection of Oxygen Radical Antioxidant Capacity (ORAC). The principle is that sodium fluorescein is used as the fluorescent probe, and azo compounds AAPH are used as the source of oxygen free radicals. According to the damage of the fluorescent probe by free radicals, the fluorescence intensity changes, and the change of fluorescence intensity reflects the damage due to free radicals. The degree of inhibition reflects the antioxidant capacity of the sample.
