Principle of Assay
StreptaClick® Antibody Labeling and Biotinylation Kits provide a rapid, robust, and flexible method to conjugate fluorochromes to antibodies after biotinylation using click chemistry. Once labeled with a fluorochrome, the antibody is stable and can be used in the same manner as antibodies that are directly conjugated with fluorochromes. StreptaClick® labeling occurs within 5 minutes, is highly efficient and can be carried out at any volume, concentration, or buffer. The antibody-fluorochrome conjugates are then mixed together in a single tube with the Biotin Block Buffer provided, after which they are ready to be used as primary antibodies in a normal IHC or flow cytometry workflow. StreptaClick®-antibody conjugates are compatible with DAPI, other directly conjugated primary antibodies and conventional secondary antibodies in the same assay. StreptaClick® is not compatible with other streptavidin-based techniques.
