This product is designed for use in peroxidase based immunohistochemical staining procedures done on paraffin tissue sections to suppress non-specific staining due to endogenous peroxidase activity. Endogenous peroxidase activity has been observed in tissue sections during immunoperoxidase staining. If not properly suppressed, endogenous peroxidase can produce false signal as well as high background during the immunostaining. Treatment of tissue sections with Peroxidase Block prior to the application of primary antibody will suppress endogenous peroxidase activity.
