Description
The RT-qPCR Lyo-Ready Mix enables real-time reverse transcription quantitative PCR for the sensitive and specific detection of RNA or DNA targets in singleplex or multiplex formats. Target RNA is first reverse-transcribed into complementary DNA by an added reverse transcriptase. The resulting cDNA, or input DNA, is then amplified by PCR using an antibody-regulated hot-start Taq DNA polymerase. During amplification, target-specific fluorescent probes, such as TaqMan® or Scorpions®, hybridize to the amplicon and generate a fluorescence signal proportional to the amount of target present. The mix contains optimized buffers, PCR enhancers, and excipients that support efficient amplification and allow direct lyophilization of the complete reaction. Once lyophilized, the reagents are stable at room temperature. Quantification is achieved by monitoring fluorescence in real time during thermal cycling, with signal intensity directly reflecting the initial target concentration.
