Principle of Assay
Avidin ELISA Kit (A303879) employs HRP antibody sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of universal Avidin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Capture antibody specific for Avidin is pre-coated on a 96-well microtiter plate. Samples and standards are added, and Avidin binds to the immobilized antibody. Detection is performed using HRP-conjugated detection antibody, which binds to a different epitope on the captured target. Following another wash, TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of Avidin captured, and the concentration is determined by reading O.D. at 450nm.
