Principle of Assay
Human Adenovirus IgM ELISA Kit (A247223) is a 3 hour trapping Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (tELISA) designed for the in vitro qualitative detection of human Adenovirus IgM in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. A 96-well microtiter plate has been pre-coated with an assay-specific trapping reagent. Samples are added to the wells, where Adenovirus IgM is captured by the immobilized trapping reagent. Following incubation, unbound components are removed by washing and an assay-specific detection reagent is added. This detection reagent binds the captured Adenovirus IgM to form a trapped immune complex. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is added to visualize the enzyme-mediated reaction. This produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow following addition of acidic stop solution. The presence or absence of colour indicates the presence or absence of Adenovirus IgM in the sample.
