Principle of Assay
This Human BRCA2 ELISA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human BRCA2 in plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for BRCA2 has been coated on a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and the BRCA2 present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. The wells are washed and Anti-BRCA2 Antibody (Biotin) is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, before a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of BRCA2 bound. The Stop Solution changes the colour from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the colour is measured at 450 nm.
