Principle of Assay
This Human C5c ELISA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human C5c in plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
An antibody specific for C5c has been coated on a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and the C5c present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. The wells are washed and Anti-C5c Antibody (Biotin) is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, before a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of C5c bound. The Stop Solution changes the colour from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the colour is measured at 450 nm.
