Principle of Assay
Monkey hepatitis A virus IgM ELISA Kit (A335249) is a 4 hour qualitative Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (qELISA) designed for the in vitro qualitative detection of monkey hepatitis A virus IgM in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids. Samples are added to a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with assay-specific binding reagents. Following incubation, unbound components are removed by washing and an enzyme-conjugated detection reagent is added. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is added to visualize the enzyme-mediated reaction. This produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow following addition of acidic stop solution. The presence or absence of colour indicates the presence or absence of hepatitis A virus IgM in the sample.
