Principle of Assay
This Monkey IFN-a ELISA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Monkey IFN-a.
An antibody specific for IFN-a has been coated on a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and the IFN-a present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. The wells are washed and Anti-IFN-a Antibody (Biotin) is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, before a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IFN-a bound. The Stop Solution changes the colour from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the colour is measured at 450 nm.
