Principle of Assay
Mouse IgA ELISA Kit (A78290) employs HRP antibody sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of mouse IgA in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, other liquid samples. Capture antibody specific for IgA is pre-coated on a 96-well microtiter plate. Samples and standards are added, and IgA binds to the immobilized antibody. Detection is performed using HRP-conjugated detection antibody, which binds to a different epitope on the captured target. Following another wash, TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of IgA captured, and the concentration is determined by reading O.D. at 450nm.
