Rabbit anti c-Met (pTyr1234) antibody recognizes c-Met, also known as, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) receptor or scatter factor (SF) receptor, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 1234. c-Met is the receptor for hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). Upon ligand binding, c-Met homodimerizes and is phosphorylated at tyrosine 1234 and tyrosine 1235. c-Met activation leads to signal transduction via downstream signaling pathways such as MAPK, JNK and PI3K/Akt (Trusolino et al. 2010).
