This antibody recognises the human DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit, also known as DNA-PKcs, DNPK1 or p460. DNA PKcs is a 4128 amino acid ~460 kDa nuclear protein encoded by the PRKDC gene, acting as a molecular sensor for DNA damage. Mutation of the PRKDC gene can result in Immunodeficiency 26 with or without neurologic abnormalities (IMD26).

Western Blot analysis of HeLa whole cell lysates (reduced, 25ug/lane) probed with Anti-DNA PKcs Antibody (A283832) at a 1/2000 dilution followed by detection withGoat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L Antibody (HRP) (A282607) at 1/10,000 (lane 1). STAR208P only was included as a secondary only control at a 1/10000 dilution (lane 2).
