Name
Anti-EIF2AK2 (pThr446) Antibody
Description
Rabbit anti EIF2AK2 (pThr446)
Specificity
Rabbit anti EIF2AK2 (pThr446) antibody recognizes interferon-induced, double-stranded RNA-activated protein kinase when phosphorylated on threonine 446. EIF2AK2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase which is activated by double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) and phosphorylates the a subunit of eukaryotic initiation factor 2 (eIF2a) (Hershey 1991). EIF2AK2 is induced by kisspeptin and its activation inhibits cancer growth (Kim and Cho 2017). Autophosphorylation of EIF2AK2 at threonine 446 is critical for kinase activity (Zhang et al. 2001).
