Specificity
This antibody recognises the Frizzled-5 protein, also known as FZD5 or C2orf31.Frizzled proteins are G-protein coupled receptors which have the ability to bind to WNT ligands. When FZD5 is bound to WNT ligand WNT7A, the resulting signals induce an increase in endometrial and ovarian cell cancer proliferation and growth via the ß-catenin pathway.
