This antibody recognises GRB2-associated-binding protein 1, also known as GAB1, GRB2-associated binder 1 or Growth factor receptor bound protein 2-associated protein 1 when phosphorylated at tyrosine 627.GAB1 is a docking protein capable of interactions with several different proteins particularly the activation of receptor tyrosine kinase signaling. Phosphorylation of GAB1 at tyrosine 627 leads to SHP2 recruitment and subsequent activation of MAPK signaling.
