This antibody recognises homeobox protein goosecoid.Homeobox protein goosecoid is a 45 kDa protein that functions as a transcription factor involved in morphogenesis. GSC may also have an effect on the fate of neighboring cells. Malformation of the GSC protein has a range of consequences on embryonic development, leading to short stature, auditory canal atresia, mandibular hypoplasia, and skeletal abnormalities (SAMS).
