Specificity
This antibody recognises bovine interleukin-15 (IL-15), an 18.6 kDa immunomodulatory glycoprotein expressed by multiple tissues and cell types, which primarily stimulates T lymphocytes, but is also critical for the development and activation of natural killer (NK) cells.IL-15 shares functional properties with IL-2 and binds with high affinity to the IL-15 receptor (IL-15R), consisting of the IL-15R alpha chain, and also the IL-2Rbeta and common gamma chains used by the IL-2 receptor.
