General Notes
Rabbit anti Human interleukin-17D antibody, recognizes interleukin-17D (IL-17D), also known as IL-27. IL-17D is a member of the IL-17 family of cytokines. The receptor of 17-D has yet to be identified, although there have been some reports that it is able to interact with the receptor IL-17RA. There is also limited information regarding the biological functions elicited by IL-17D, however it is believed to stimulate the production of other cytokines including IL-6, IL-8 and GM-CSF. IL-17D may also play a role in local immune responses through induction of myeloid growth factors, chemokines, stimulatory local infiltration and proliferation of leukocytes (Liu et al. 2020).
