This antibody recognises bifunctional arginine demethylase and lysyl-hydroxylase JMJD6.JMJD6 is a member of the alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylase superfamily located in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. JMJD6 plays a role in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and may function as protein hydroxylase or a histone demethylase and play a role in angiogenesis. Aberrant levels of JMJD6 have also been observed in some breast cancers and may be associated with increased tumor aggressiveness and metastasis.
