This antibody recognises ERBB receptor feedback inhibitor 1, otherwise known as mitogen-inducible gene 6 protein (MIG-6).Expression of ERRFI1 has been shown to increase in the cytoplasm of growing cells. ERRFI1 shares significant homology with the protein product of rat gene-33, expression of which is increased in response to cell stress. ERRFI1 is involved in the regulation of EGFR signaling. Additionally, in response to stress, ERRFI1 has been shown to mediate response to DNA damage through ATM serine/threonine kinases.
