Name
Anti-NFkB p105 (phospho Ser927) Antibody
Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to NFkB p105 (phospho Ser927).
Specificity
This antibody recognises human nuclear factor NF-kappa-B (NFkB) p105 subunit, also known as DNA-binding factor KBF1, EBP-1 or nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, when phosphorylated at serine 927.NFkB p105 is a large precursor protein that is cleaved at its C-terminus (which mainly contains ankyrin repeats) by the ubiquitin/proteasome pathway into the NFkB p50 subunit. The p50 subunit, also known as NFkB1, interacts with members of the Rel protein family to form transcription factors. The NF-kappa-B pathway plays a critical role in mediating immune responses after infection and has been implicated in a variety of diseases ranging from autoimmune disorders to cancer.NFkB p105 is phosphorylated at serine 927 and serine 932 by the I?B kinase (IKK) complex. Phosphorylation at serines 927 and 932 is required for TNF-alpha induced degradation of NFkB p105.
