Specificity
Rabbit anti PTK2B (pTyr402) antibody recognizes protein-tyrosine kinase 2-beta, also known as CADTK, CAKB, FADK 2, PYK2, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 402. It is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates cell migration and mediates transfer of signals from the cell surface to the cytoskeleton (Duong et al. 2001, Avraham et al. 2000). Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and bradykinin induce tyrosine phosphorylation of PTK2B (Dikic et al. 1996). Phosphorylation of PTK2B on tyrosine 402 is important for binding with SH2 domain of SRC (Dikic et al. 1996). In Jurkat T cells, tyrosine 402 is involved in interleukin-2 production (Katagiri et al. 2000).
