This antibody recognises rat RANTES, also known as CCL5, a chemoattractant for blood monocytes, memory T-helper cells and eosinophils. RANTES causes the release of histamine from basophils and activates eosinophils.Rabbit anti Rat RANTES antibody has not been cross-adsorbed and may react with homologous peptides from related species.

1 mg/ml after reconstitution.

Reconstitute with 0.1 ml of distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Gently mix after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.

Supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline.

Lyophilized: Store at -20°C. Reconstituted: Store undiluted at -20°C, avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
