This antibody recognises endophilin-A1, also known as SH3 domain protein 2A, SH3 domain protein 2A and EEN-B1. Endophilins belong to the family of Bin/Amphiphysin/Rvs (BAR) proteins and are composed of an N-terminal BAR domain and a C-terminal SH3 domain. Endophilin-A1 is essential for synaptic vesicle endocytosis. Its interaction with ataxin-2 and huntingtin is important for plastin-associated cellular pathways. Endophilin-A1 is also involved in regulation of blood-brain barrier permeability through the EGFR-JNK signaling pathway.

General Notes
Rabbit anti endophilin-A1 antibody recognizes endophilin-A1, also known as SH3 domain protein 2A, SH3 domain protein 2A and EEN-B1. Endophilins belong to the family of Bin/Amphiphysin/Rvs (BAR) proteins and are composed of an N-terminal BAR domain and a C-terminal SH3 domain (Safari and Suetsugu 2012). Endophilin-A1 is essential for synaptic vesicle endocytosis (Llobet et al. 2011). Its interaction with ataxin-2 and huntingtin is important for plastin-associated cellular pathways (Ralser et al. 2005). Endophilin-A1 is also involved in regulation of blood-brain barrier permeability through the EGFR-JNK signaling pathway (Chen et al. 2015).
