This antibody recognises G/T mismatch-specific thymine DNA glycosylase.TDG is a member of the TDG/mug DNA glycosylase family and predominantly removes thymine residues from sites where G/T mismatches have occurred. TDG can also remove thymine from C/T and T/T mispairings and uracil and 5-bromouracil from mispairings with guanine. TDG may also play a role in 5-methylcytosine demethylation in mammalian cells.
