This antibody recognises undifferentiated embryonic cell transcription factor 1.UTF1 is a protein expressed in the nuclei of pluripotent cells such as embryonic stem cells and embryonic carcinoma cells where it regulates chromatin state and mRNA levels by promoting degradation of mRNA. Expression of UTF1 quickly reduces upon differentiation. UTF1 is overexpressed in cervical cancer cells.
