Name
Anti-Vitronectin / S-Protein Antibody [8E6 (1.110)]
Description
Mouse monoclonal [8E6 (1.110)] antibody to Vitronectin / S-Protein.
Specificity
This antibody recognises human vitronectin and will react with the native and denatured forms. Mouse anti Human vitronectin antibody, clone 8E6 does not cross react with fibronectin.Vitronectin is an important cell adhesive protein, found in the blood and extracellular matrix. It exists as a mixture of two monomeric glycoproteins that mediate cell adhesion through an interaction between the R-G-D motif, present in the cell binding domains, and several different integrin receptors. Vitronectin is also known as a complement lysis inhibitor and as a scavenger protein for macromolecular products of the complement and homeostasis cascades.
