This antibody recognises the Fc portion of human IgG. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum, Human IgG, Human IgG (Fc) and Human Serum. No reaction was observed against human IgG F(ab')2.
