Name
Anti-CBL Antibody
Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to CBL.
Specificity
This antibody recognises the Casitas B-lineage lymphoma (CBL) E3 ubiquitin ligase, also known as c-CBL proto-oncogene and ring finger protein 55. As the name implies, the viral form of CBL, v-CBL, has been shown to induce lymphoma and leukemia in mice. The CBL protein is a RING finger E3-ubiquitin ligase that plays a key role in signal transduction processes through mediating monoubiquitination and thereby endocytosis of receptor tyrosine kinases (Haglund et al. 2002, Dikic and Giordano 2003). In addition to this role, CBL has also been reported to act as an adaptor protein as well as a mediator of cell signaling processes by changing the cellular localization of substrates.
