Absorption spectra of DTNB and its reaction product, 2-nitro-5-thiobenzoic acid (TNB). Upon reaction with thiols, DTNB is cleaved to generate TNB, which exhibits a characteristic absorbance peak around 412 nm for quantitative detection.
