Principle of Assay
This kit provides a convenient tool for detection of mitochondrial Complex I activity. The principle is that Complex I can catalyze the dehydrogenation of NADH to NAD+. The oxidation rate of NADH can be determined at 340 nm to calculate the activity of Complex I. It can be used with animal tissue, plant tissue and cell samples.
