Protein A will bind the Fc portion of human IgG subclasses, IgM, IgA, and IgE; mouse IgG1 (weakly), IgG2a, and IgG2b. Also binds IgGs from other animals such as rabbit, cat, dog, pig, monkey and guinea pig.
