Name
Anti-FOXO1A Antibody
Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to FOXO1A.
Specificity
This antibody recognises Forkhead box protein O1, also known as FOXO1, Forkhead box protein O1A or Forkhead in rhabdomyosarcoma.FOXO1 like other members of the forkhead protein family acts as a transcription factor by binding to DNA with its forkhead box protein domain. The subcellular activation and thereby the transcriptional activity of FOXO1 is regulated via AKT mediated phosphorylation while its levels are regulated via polyubiquitination.FOXO1 has been shown to play a role in various signaling pathways ranging from apoptosis, proliferation, oxidative stress, DNA damage to insulin signaling. The protein has also been proposed to act as a tumor suppressor (Fu and Tindall 2008, Xie et al.2012).
