Principle of Assay
This Human TCC C5b-9 ELISA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human TCC C5b-9 in plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
An antibody specific for TCC C5b-9 has been coated on a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and the TCC C5b-9 present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. The wells are washed and Anti-TCC C5b-9 Antibody (Biotin) is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, before a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of TCC C5b-9 bound. The Stop Solution changes the colour from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the colour is measured at 450 nm.
