Specificity
Rabbit anti JAK3 (pTyr980/pTyr981) antibody antibody recognizes tyrosine-protein kinase JAK3 when phosphorylated on tyrosine 980/981. It belongs to the JAK (Janus kinase) family of nonreceptor tyrosine kinases that are central mediators of cytokine signalling (Rane and Reddy 2000). JAK3 is expressed in hematopoietic cells (Rane and Reddy 1994). It plays important roles in development and function of the immune system (Macchi et al. 1995, Park et al. 1995). JAK3 is heavly phosphorylated on tyrosine residues tyrosine 980/981 that are located within the putative activation loop (Zhou et al. 1997).
