Name
Anti-MIP-1 alpha / CCL3 Antibody [F01.1-3E5] (Biotin)
Description
Mouse monoclonal [F01.1-3E5] antibody to MIP-1 alpha / CCL3 (Biotin).
Specificity
This antibody recognises C-C motif chemokine 3 (CCL3) also known as G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1 and Macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha (MIP1a). CCL3 is an inflammatory cytokine with the ability to activate chemotactic mobilization of monocyte and lymphocyte cells. It also plays a role in regulating the proliferation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. The receptors of CCL3 are the G-protein coupled receptors CCR1, CCR5 and the D6 receptor in humans. Signaling via CCR1 and CCR5, CCL3 is able to stimulate lymphocyte recruitment to sites of infection, as well as CD8+ T cells to active lymph nodes. Expression levels of CCL3 have been reported to increase in patients with colorectal cancer, independently of tumor stage. This has been shown to be concurrent with the upregulated expression of CCR1 and CCR5 (L?pez et al. 2018). CCL3 has also been implicated in various pathologies related to microenvironmental dysfunction, including myelodysplastic syndrome, metastatic disease of renal cell carcinoma and B cell lymphomas. The biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL3 antibody, clone F01.1-3E5 (MCA6221B) can be used as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the purified Mouse anti Human CCL3 antibody, clone H03-5C10 (MCA6220GA) as the capture antibody.
